Add this event to my calendar 08/14/2019 09:00 AM 08/14/2019 03:00 PM America/New_York Open House at Preble Cove Preserve

Explore a lovely new Maine Coast Heritage Trust Preserve and nearby conserved lands on Great Cranberry Island.

Pack a lunch for a picnic on the beach at Preble Cove or plan to visit Hitty’s Café. The Preble-Marr Historical Museum will also be open and is just a short walk from Preble Cove.

Boat transportation will be provided but space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Upon arrival at the island, there is an option to do a shore landing at the Preserve or walk .5 miles from the town dock.  All boats will return from town dock at the end of the day (plan for at least 1 mile of walking). Trails are relatively flat, but expect uneven terrain and bog bridging.

Boat Shuttles:

There are four shuttle times available. Boats will depart and return to the Northeast Harbor town float (the float farthest on the right when looking out at the water from the parking lot and harbor master's office).
