Add this event to my calendar 09/22/2018 01:30 PM 09/22/2018 06:30 PM America/New_York Maine-Style Island Clambake

This family-friendly swanky clambake on a wild Maine island will have:

  • Delicious food prepared Maine island style by James Beard Award-winning chefs
  • The finest Maine craft beer
  • A great group of people who care about conserving the Maine coast

Sounds pretty good, right? Join Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Big Tree Hospitality (you know them as the chefs behind The Honey Paw, Eventide Oyster Co., and Hugo’s) and Maine Beer Company for a tasty, one-of-a-kind island dinner experience on The Goslings in Casco Bay.

We come at it different ways, but all of us care about environmental sustainability and taking care of our home—the coast of Maine. At this event, everything will be sustainably sourced and as fresh as it gets! We will leave no trace, just footprints in the sand.

Register today for this swanky saltwater social and your summer is off to a good start!

Pricing

Current ShoreKeepers: $75 per person - includes a sweet commemorative cup!
General Ticket Price (21+):  $150 per person - add $20 if you want a cup.
Children under 12: Free
Children 12 -20: $50

Here’s what the day will look like:

  • 1:30 PM - Arrive at Mere Point public boat launch. Park and load onto the boats. Small children should bring their own life jackets.
  • 2:00 PM - Arrive on the Goslings
  • 2:00 – 4:00 PM - Explore the islands! It’ll be low tide when you arrive, which means East Gosling and West Gosling will be connected by a sand bar. We’ll offer tours of the islands and fun for the kids, too!
  • 4:00 PM - Dinner is served.
  • 6:00 PM - Depart the island

Boat Shuttles

There will be boat shuttles running back and forth between the Mere Point Boat Launch and the island throughout the afternoon. If you need to leave at any time during the event, you can!

Parking

There's plenty of free parking at the Mere Point Public Boat Launch, 15 Birch Island Road, in Brunswick.

What to Bring

You know the drill, pack like you’re spending the day outside—bring towels, beach chairs, blankets, sunscreen, hats, bug spray, water, etc. And of course, layers are always a good idea. Be prepared to get your feet wet getting off and on the boat at the island. There is no dock on the island.

Please note: This is a rugged, uninhabited Maine island. There are no facilities here. We will have a small porta-potty but otherwise, be prepared to be one with nature.

The Menu

Seafood’s for dinner! If your kids are picky (we get it), pack the goldfish, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and juice boxes.

BYO wine, but there will be plenty of delicious Maine Beer Company beer flowing. No other adult beverages will be permitted on the island.
