McKenney Preserve Clean-Up
at Tinker Island
It's been a long winter and we need your help! It's time to get our preserves in shape for summer. Regional Stewardship Manager Douglas McMullin is looking for volunteers to help remove trash and spruce-up the campsites at the McKenney Preserve in Tinker Island in Blue Hill Bay.
Event will be limited to 12 participants and boat transportation is provided. The group will leave the Seal Cove boat ramp in Tremont at 10 am and return by 2 pm.
Please pack your own gloves, picnic lunch, snacks, water, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and shoes that can get wet and are suitable for walking on uneven surfaces. We will have trash bags and rubber gloves that can be worn under the work gloves you bring.
Participants must be physically able to climb over rocks and ledges, in and out of the boat at the island, and lift moderately heavy bags of trash.
Pre-registration is required.
To sign up, please email Douglas McMullin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
