This event is sold out, but you can sign up for the wait list below!
It's been a long winter and we need your help! It's time to get our preserves in tip-top shape and ready for summer visitors. Southern Maine Regional Steward Caitlin Gerber is looking for volunteers to help clean up the beach on Whaleboat Island in Casco Bay.
Limited spots are available and boat transportation is provided. The group will leave the Mere Point boat ramp in Brunswick at 10 am and return by 1 pm.
Please pack your own food, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and shoes that can get wet and are suitable for walking on uneven surfaces. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Participants must be physically able to climb over rocks and ledges, in and out of the boat at the island, and lift moderately heavy bags of trash.
To sign up, please email Caitlin Gerber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
