Woodcock Walk at Bog Brook Cove

Join Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Fundy Audubon, and the Lubec Outing Club for an early evening woodcock walk at Bog Brook Cove Preserve in Trescott. Fundy Audubon president Woody Gillies will lead the walk and share his knowledge about these fascinating birds at a time when they are likely to be active.
This trip is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome - though remaining quiet during the walk will increase our chances of viewing the birds.
Meet at the Moose Cove parking lot of the Bog Brook Cove Preserve. We'll depart at 6:30 pm.
Directions: From Cutler drive north on Rte. 191 to Moose River Road. From Lubec, travel 6.7 miles south on Rte. 189 to Moose River Road. Turn onto Moose River Road, which is the only road with a small triangle of land in the middle of the turn (20 miles east of Rte. 1 in East Machias and 6.7 miles south from Rte. 189 in Lubec). Continue 1.1 miles on the road. It begins as pavement, but is mostly gravel. Go straight at an intersection with Bog Brook Road, near the midway point. Moose River Road ends at the parking area.
