Sap to Syrup Workshop at Aldermere Farm
All ages are invited to try out making maple syrup from scratch (i.e. sap) during "Sap to Syrup" on Wednesday, March 14. The workshop will be held from 2:30-5:30 at the office of Aldermere Farm (down the street from the farm), located at 70 Russell Avenue in Rockport.
Erickson Farm Manager Aaron Englander will give attendees an all-sensory demonstration of the syrup-making process. This includes identifying and tapping sugar maples, smelling the sap as it turns to syrup in the evaporator, and tasting the sweet final product!
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited.
To register, email or call 207-236-2739.
